Articulated on two levels, for a total of 2.300 sqm, Villa Calypso has a waterfront position, which is unmatched on the Island. A stone throw from the sea (which can be accessed directly from the premises), facing towards Africa, and located on the west side of the Island, the villa offers the chance, on clear days, to glimpse from its spacious terraces Cape Bon, in Tunisia. A short and comfortable path that runs through volcanic rock and succulent plants connects the Villa to the sea, which stands out for its natural inlets and spectacular beds rich in fish.
Description.
Villa Calypso is a real architectural jewel built in local volcanic rock and according to the traditional standards of the dammuso, of Arab origin. The walls, which are 80 cm thick, have been made with a construction technique that ensures excellent insulation, both thermal and acoustic.
The ground floor of the villa houses three apartments, each with an independent entrance, sea view and terraces.
The first floor consists of one spacious apartment that looks over 200 sqm of beautiful terraces, all of which have a sea view.
There is also an annex, which is used as a reception for guests, but also as a relax area, complete of sporting equipment, TV and a bar managed by the staff.
Il sole che si tuffa nel mare di fronte Villa Calypso
In un'isola baciata dal sole per 15-16 ore al giorno, lo spettacolo che va in scena sul finire della giornata è sorprendente. Le gradazioni dei rossi che colorano il cielo e il mare, mentre il sole tramonta, riempie gli occhi e il cuore. Seduti sulle comode "ducchene" delle terrazze di Villa Calypso il tramonto è il momento ideale per assaporare un ricco aperitivo ed una cena a base di prodotti locali, da concludere, immancabilmente, con un bicchiere di passito prodotto con le uve zibibbo. La vite ad alberello, visibile in ordinati filari nei terrazzamenti protetti dai muretti a secco, richiede, per la sua coltivazione, una tecnica agricola che l'Unesco ha riconosciuto, per la prima volta, patrimonio dell'Umanità alla fine del 2014.

La variopinta tela naturalistica di Villa Calypso
Pantelleria, isola di colori e di profumi, ha una vegetazione ricca che varia nel corso dell'anno. Ogni mese, comunque, contribuisce alla composizione di una variopinta tela naturalistica che ha come sfondo il nero della roccia lavica. A Villa Calypso, varie specie di piante grasse, ibiscus , palme e piante da frutto, si integrano nella struttura creando un ambiente, oltre che esteticamente gradevole, interessante anche per la particolarità delle numerose specie autoctone.
